Our mission to improve the remodeling experience for homeowners is especially valuable in extensive, multi-space, and whole home renovations. We would love the opportunity to create your dream home!
We complete all sizes of remodels:

True Whole Home Remodel

  • All aspects of the home renovation are completed at once
  • Home extensions (additions), patio covers, concrete work (driveways and porches), or other exterior improvements
  • Every room of the home is improved in some capacity (i.e., painting, flooring, lighting, etc.)
  • Potentially new HVAC, breaker box, wiring, replacing old drain work, roofing, windows, or other major whole home elements
  • Likely a full gut and redesign of the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, or other utilities

Multi-Space Remodel

  • Multiple major spaces are renovated (i.e., a kitchen and master suite, a kitchen, dining, living, & laundry room, or a master suite with a whole house repaint & new flooring, etc.)
  • Some rooms (typically guest bedrooms or guest bathrooms) remain untouched

WHY WORK WITH US?

We work to change the stereotypes in the remodeling industry. Stories of contractors who take twice as long (or more) than they say they will to complete a project, remodels that end up cost significantly more than promised, and remodels that fall apart in a few years are all stories that motivate us to make our industry BETTER.

Preconstruction

Our in-house consulting design process ensures your space reflects your personal style and specific functional needs. It means you control the design, but with our professional help and expertise along the way. We will help you create a space that compliments the other areas of your home, achieves your desired goals, and avoids major trends to that it will not look outdated in a few years.

IN-house cabinetry

Custom cabinets have always been at the heart of our business. We have our own cabinet shop where we produce the custom cabinets for our projects, and over the years, we have seen the value it brings our clients to have such a key aspect of a project under our complete control. After the walls are up, cabinetry is what truly defines the layout of a space. The ability to adjust the cabinet design & build on the fly means both the design and construction phase run more efficiently, and you are left with a polished completed space.

IN-House Carpentry

One of the things that truly sets us apart from other remodelers is our in-house carpenters. These guys aren’t just quality carpenters: they’re smart. They problem solve every day and find creative solutions to make sure all the details of a project are just right for our clients. It’s a weight off our shoulders to know that we have our own guys in the field taking care of our clients. You couldn’t be in better hands.

Whole Home Remodel Phases

Many homeowners desire for their whole home to be remodeled, but for either financial or logistical reasons, can’t do it all at once. Through our design-build process, we work with you to plan out phases of your renovation. After determining your priorities, we design & complete the most important spaces first, while planning ahead for future construction to avoid rework. For example, we may complete your kitchen remodel first, and know that the kitchen flooring should be continuous through the living room & down the hallway. In that case, we would install the flooring through those areas, but may not complete the painting or electrical into those areas until Phase 2, when we remodel the living room hallway, and maybe a couple of bedrooms.

Completing a whole home remodel in phases may allow you to remain in your home during construction, rebuild your finances, or even give you time to determine how you want your remaining spaces to look and feel. It also allows you to get the most important spaces of your home done so you can start enjoying them, rather than waiting until you have the time & resources to do it all at once. We would love to help you make a long-term, phased-out plan for your whole home renovation.

Whole Home Remodel Logistics

Depending on the extent of the remodel (multi-space or whole home), it may be advantageous to move out of your home for some or all of the project. We recommend clients move out any time we are:

-Replacing HVAC, major electrical replacements (panels or significant wiring), or major plumbing replacement, since these utilities will need to be turned off for an extended period of time for rework.

-Whole House Drywall: this is perhaps one of the dustiest tasks in construction, and it is extremely uncomfortable to live through.

-Whole House Repaint: especially when trim & ceilings are involved. Painting is always more invasive than homeowners expect, due to the site protection needed to cover flooring & furniture, as well as the amount of dust created during sanding and prep work.

-Whole House Flooring Replacement: unless we are able to replace flooring in sections, the furniture moving & need to stay off newly laid floors (depending on the type) makes it extremely difficult to live in a home during a full flooring replacement.

It’s easier to live without a functional kitchen for eight weeks, if you have the rest of your home to live in, than to live in your home for two weeks with drywall, painting or floor replacement.

Moving out of the home is not only more comfortable for you as a homeowner, it also allows construction to be completed more efficiently. For example, trades can work in multiple areas of the home at once and we can move all furniture out into storage for the entire project. Not only are you out of the invasive construction zone, but your renovation will be complete that much sooner.

Care for our Clients & their Homes

Image
There’s no getting around it: a home remodel is messy. We have the following processes in place to ensure you and your home are taken care of:
  • construction grade paper board & plastic are used to protect finished surfaces both within and outside the construction zone
  • a HEPA filter air scrubber is installed at the nearest operable window to route construction dust out of the home
  • all debris is removed from the construction zone after each trade
  • temporary toilets are kept on site for construction worker use
  • tools and materials are stored in designated areas approved by our clients
  • our project manager communicates daily with our clients regarding the status of their project
  • access to the home by our tradesmen is different job to job depending on the client’s schedule, but your home’s security is always our top priority. Our project manager always notifies you when to expect a tradesmen to be on site

Handling Insurance claims

One area we bring value is by advocating for you during insurance claims.

If you choose to work with us through our Professional Services Agreementwe advocate for you with insurance. In most (if not all) insurance cases, their initial payout is not enough. It’s often times missing costs for project management, project development & design, and is riddled with incorrect material & labor cost.

We will develop a detailed scope of work with line item costs and will explain to your adjuster why their payout is not enough. In most cases, we’re able to raise the payout from your insurance company, and our clients see a return on investment by hiring us to advocate for them.
