Aurora’s Bathroom

You don’t have to do a full gut renovation for a big UPGRADE. Aurora wanted to turn her drab, builder-grade bathroom into a space that was truly special. A “builder-grade” space just means it was finished with whatever material was cheapest at the time it was built. The same 12×12 shower tile was on her tub surround and kitchen backsplash. The vanities were boring and dark, light fixtures were basic and glaring, towel bars were weak, the tub was unnecessarily large for a small bathroom, and the whole space was uninspiring.

We removed the tub and converted it to a walk-in shower. We installed a new tile floor, shower surround, and a frameless sliding glass enclosure. To save costs, Aurora purchased a prefabricated vanity, mirror & light. We installed those for her, which required some plumbing & electrical relocations. We also built a custom shelving nook for added storage and character.

Aurora has been adding mid century modern vibes all over her house and turning into a home that reflects HER! Just because a home may be new, doesn’t mean it can’t benefit from a renovation!

“If I could give Buck the Builder 10/5 I would. Buck, Renee and team were such an absolute pleasure to work with. I originally found Buck when I was doing a small kitchen facelift. He was super honest with me that it was out of their scope of work and would cost me more to hire them, then referred me to several contractors. I thought it was wild that he was so honest and transparent because most builders/contractors/etc. see me, a single young woman, and try to price gouge me.

Fast forward six months later – I’m ready to remodel my 2 bathrooms and am so glad I hired Buck the Builder! Best decision ever. From the planning meetings to project conception, etc., it was so easy. They worked with my budget, let me pick some of my own things that I felt strongly about (e.g., vanities, mirrors, and toilets), and the quality of the work was so good. They have the A team for electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, etc. Project management was impeccable. I didn’t have to think about anything – pulling permits, setting up inspections, etc. All the workers came on time every day and were very respectful of my home and space. Each day when they left, everything was super tidy (that’s definitely not the case with all contractors). Cannot recommend them enough for your next home project!”
